Imani Enterprises.
“Dedicated to the Advancement of Youth Arts and Culture!”
Imani Enterprises was founded in Halifax
Nova Scotia in 1994 by Anne-Marie Woods, as a response to
the need for positive
programming that focused on Youth Arts and Culture in the
African and Cross Cultural Communities. In 1996, the Company
The Imani Women’s Artistic Project (IWAP) was formed
under Imani Enterprises. IWAP is an interdisciplinary arts

central focus was on community outreach, cross cultural
education,
leadership skills, counseling, business development, acting,
movement, and improv training. The program ran successfully
from 1996 until 1998, and is now being developed for Toronto
Based Youth.
