Theatre Instructor/Director at Youthdale Treatment Centre

youthdale logoAnne-Marie Woods along with co – instructor Alia Etienne has been working at Youthdale Treatment Centre since the beginning of March and her time there continues to be a rewarding experience.  To work with and get to know the young people that come to the Theatre Program and to watch them open up more and more each week through poetry, improv and theatre has been incredible.  Youthdale Treatment Centre is putting on a private production for the youth involved in their programming.  For the past 12 weeks Anne-Marie and Alia have planned and facilitated theatre, movement, improv and creative writing exercises all geared towards self expression and creative group dynamics. And for the last 4 weeks Anne-Marie has been busy creating a script that is a culmination of the youth’s writing as well as with a fun and unique storyline. “Youthdale Town” will showcase the youth’s talent in a final presentation in June.
